Operation Kindness Drop-In-Centre £500 a month provides food, shelter, showers, and staff wages. Mark Cuenca has been working with the street children of Lapu-Lapu City for several years, and with the support of Equipe has bought, and refurbished, a building suitable as a drop-in-centre for the children. The street children of Lapu-Lapu City scavenge bins and beg to survive. They are completely ferral, knowing neither parental nurture or love! Equipe, with the Cuenca family, decided to set up a halfway house where these children could visit for food, to wash themselves, and to do simple tasks which would hopefully prepare them for school and even sleeping indoors! The centre now caters for over 80 children, and some of them are now prepared to sleep over, so dormitories are being built. We have noticed such a difference in the children since the start of this project - we no longer see them scavenging outsite McDonalds and many have gone back to school! Needs:
