To most of us who have gone out to visit our projects, Tanzania feels,  out of the three we work into, the poorest country in East Africa. Again an agricultural subsistence economy, Tanzania also struggles with a highly nationalised and beauocratic government, and is highly reliant on foreign aid. We are based, with our partner, Daniel Ouma, in Musoma, in the Lake Victoria region.

Daniel Ouma was a school-teacher and has now started his own nursery and primary school which Equipe supports. Like all of our partners, Daniel, and his wife Debora, shelters many orphans, feeding them and financing them through school. His vision is to see provision for all the orphans, and those without support, in his community.
